We are seeking talented and enthusiastic postdocs to join the Shepherd lab. The lab utilizes coordinated biochemical, cell biological, electrophysiological and imaging studies in vitro and in vivo, including state of the art techniques that range from in vivo two-photon microscopy in live animals to cryo-electron microscopy of protein complexes.
In particular, we are looking for applicants who have protein biochemistry and membrane biology expertise to work on projects that follow up on our recent Cell paper (http://www.cell.com/cell/abstract/S0092-8674(17)31504-0).
There is a growing and vibrant neuroscience community at the University of Utah, with an excellent quality of life.
